BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft in the future with DVB-T around the Nürburgring
Pour bientôt, accès 4 canaux DVB-T pour suivre le ring sur la TV ... portable ... en lieu et remplacement de la petite radio et les oreillettes ?!
The BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft, in co-operation with Wige Media AG, will start a new and future-oriented feature at the next championship round, the 40th Adenauer Rundstrecken-Trophy.
In the future, the fans of the most popular racing series in Europe will have the possibility to follow the races not only live but also via DVB-T,
the broadcast transmission system of digital terrestrial television.
The four digital TV channels will offer a colourful mixture of entertainment and information.
Channel 1 will broadcast a TV picture controlled by a director and showing the pictures from the track safety cameras and from high performance cameras installed around the Grand Prix Circuit especially for the DVB-T project.
Further cameras around the Nordschleife are planned.
Channel 2 offers a permanent view into the pit lane and channels 3 and 4 show the timing monitors.
All channels are accompanied with the sound signal of Radio Nürburgring and the track commentaries of Lars Gutsche, Patrick Simon and Rudi Seifen.
The system had been used during the last two years at the 24h Race Nürburgring.
“The BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft now is the first motor sport series in Germany providing all its fans on-site and at all races with DVB-T channels.
And this in contrast to similar services – as for example in Formula 1 – completely free of charge”, informs VLN Managing Director Robert Rust.
The DVB-T signal may be used around the Nürburgring using any commercially available DVB-T receiver.
In addition, portable and low-price TV sets which are especially well-suited for the use at the circuit are available in the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring fan shop, located in the paddocks between pits three and four.
