Je viens de lire ça sur le forum Rx8 Anglais, ça parle de bobines d'allumage de qualité moyenne en première monte.
L'info provient du président du club anglais et qui gère aussi une société de pièces, à priori il sait de quoi il parle.
Il semblerait que ça puisse donc être une des causes possibles concernant le peu de casses moteurs référencés, en avait on parlé sur ce forum ? :

As you may know ignition coil packs have become a potential failure point on all 30,000 mile plus RX-8’s this has unfortunately led to engine failures attributed, 100% to the coils not powering the spark plugs properly which then can lead to excess fuel in the rotor chamber washing the oil film away that protects the Apex seals (tips) and side seals thus leading to rapid wear and loss of compression with the cure being a new engine !.
Many times the expensive catalitic converter is also in need of renewal due to being burnt out with the excess fuel from the poorly performing coils.
The shame is that many RX-8 owners do not realise that their cars performace has dropped of as this is a gradual process in many cases not becoming evident untill the car either fails to start or misfires and by this time the damage is done

Voilà , donc si votre Rx8 est kilométrée, c'est peut être un bon investissement à faire coupler avec des câbles d'allumage de bonne qualité pour garantir une bonne longévité à son auto.
Y a t-il des AM RX8 qui sont plus impactés que d'autres?
