It will be sometime in calendar 2010, say our sources, and probably not until midyear at the earliest. As noted, development work is only just getting underway.

With luck, we'll get the keys at a media preview in late fall or early winter of 2009.
2010 Mazda RX-7 Prices:
A lot will depend on how the dollar fares against the yen between now and 2010. However, $32,000 to start and upwards of $39,000 loaded seem like reasonable guesses.

Deux petites informations interessante :
The info comes by way of Consumer Guide, which says a return of the RX-7 is imminent, possibly as a replacement for the aging RX-8
Dans le meme genre :
Does this mean that the RX-8's days are numbered? Probably so. It's hard to imagine a small company like Mazda with two rotary cars in its lineup
Profiter bien de vos Rx-8 les gars bientot elle ne seront peut etre plus disponible....
articles:
Word is the new RX-7 will ride on a stretched MX-5 platform. That means 2+2 seating. Perhaps the most notable tidbit is the possibility for a new booster rocket atop the Renesis rotary. That is, a turbocharger assisted by an electric motor at low rpm. That novel hybrid system would both widen the power band and reduce the rotary's nagging low-rpm emissions. As for styling, speculators say look to the 2006 Kabura concept (shown) for clues.
