Nachrichten vom 5.4.09:

He is German and lives at 50km from the Ring ... that helps ! :D and a Jahrekarte ... also !
Normally he comes during the week from 17h to 19h30 ...

I am trying to get him to come at Francorchamps the 4 may
Even as a visitor ... as he didn't know there was a track there :oh: :oh:

Well I didn't know the Nürburgring 6 years ago :D :D

The friends are OK !
Since they identified that he was only a victim .... he didn't had to pay for the damage immediatly.
Some insurance will not be happy ... the one that exploded its engine.

This has nothing to do with busy weekends ... this can happen anytime !

A car leaking oil for 500m then exploding its engine ... late marschalls ... you don't see the oil on the track.
and here come KFZ bongard ... the Polizei ... und the ambulance !

Beter have planned for the worst !

If you plan for a trip you can also try the F1 track for 30€ for 20 minutes.

Strange?!
I am pretty sure it is the same black RX 8 that I met last year at the ring.
But with a different numberplate.
He stripped the interior COMPLETELY and changed the car heavely

Sure, it also happened last year when I drove with our Icelandic friend in the BMW GT and R-Ickx-7. They closed the track for the rest of the day because there was a 200m + oil leak... :oups:

Anyway, this Monday evening was excellent!!! Very few cars, no queueing, plenty of space on the parking lot, etc. :yeah:
I went with the family (in two cars) and I took the children for the last lap in the family car...and they loved the jumps :D :D

I plan to go on the GP track at the end of April with a few Danish colleagues - one in a Caterham

Northloop.co.uk : Speeding in the Nurburg Area

[Quote: Dale (RSRNürburg)]
Yep, the culprit of the incredible Dottinger Hohe speeding drama of 2009 was none other than... my fiance Helen in her 67bhp Fiesta.

She was doing 'about 100kph' along the 100kph-limit road in her own words, when she braked for the 50kph junction half away along it.

Trouble is Mr. Polizei and his gang of 8 'student police' kids reckon she was doing 116kph as she crossed the threshold and before she braked. This measured from something like 200mtrs away with nothing to show any depth perception other than the machine's display.

After searching the car, her purse, her glovebox etc... they found €20. When I turned up and vouched for her and showed the anmeldung to say we live in germany and pay taxes here I got the pat down and lost my €120 in my back pocket for my EBC redstuff that's delivered today... :( Our bank accounts have a sum total of €41 in them as we're both on pittance wages over here.

What's interesting is that they couldn't sieze the car or belongings or arrest us for being too poor. When they were absolutely sure we were not millionaires from England on a Cannonball run in a 1.4 Fiesta, they just demanded we sign their ticket

Apparently you do HAVE to sign and they were willing to arrest us over that point, but we signed the section saying we admit nothing, we didn't do it, we don't understand. Nein, nein, nein.

My bothersome-out-law was behind and they reckon he did 96kph at the same point and did him for €450, of which he only could put hands on around €300.

Edit: Bother-in-law signed the bit that said 'yes, it was I what done it' as the Polizei split us all up and wouldn't let me talk to both of them. They started to get real shirty when I explained they were all my family and I need to help translate. We were herded apart to be taken down seperately with none of this conferring in fast English. When they figured out I was telling them not to sign and not to pay anything until they fully understood, the lead copper got properly aggressive.

ou sa collègue a Cologne Ulrike Tasic (who speaks good English) +49 172 2515130.
