Sorry for posting in English again, but you have been so helpful... these pictures might make it easier for your members to understand what is required.

To reach the connector where the steering wheel controls are presented...

Remove the steering column cover by lowering the steering wheel to it's lowest extent, the top cover simply pops off if you apply pressure and upwards force with a thumb near the ignition barrel... and the lower has 3 screws.

Under the column cover, you will see this:-

note the yellow connector in the upper left... don't touch it, this is the airbag connection... Look at a closeup:-

Notice the smaller white connector to the left of the yellow one, this is the one we are interested in, so a REAL closeup:-

You will notice 2 adjacent pins with no wires attached... these are the ones which are described earlier in this thread, and connect to the cruise control switches.

Thanks for the tip about the wire from the ECU being already present on RHD cars, but now I need to find where it goes!!

I have emailed the address given above regarding the cable from the ECU to the left side of the dashboard... but have no reply...

Does anyone here have any details regarding the point at which the wire from the ECU re-appears?

here are 2 free pins that you can insert,one that's coming from the PCM and the other one for the - (negativ) to the dashbord et you can use anyone you want it is the same!

C'est pas tout a fait ce que demande BlueAdept, il nous indique que le fil de commande Cruise (ligne 2 colone 5) est déjà accupé. Il de mande conseil.

Je pense que ce n'est pas possible et qu'il s'est trompé dans l'identification du fil. Les PCM sont nécessairement communs pour conduite à Droite et conduite à Gauche... n'est ce pas ? A moins qu'il s'arrete après le souffelet sous le volant ??

BlueAdept, I think there are two possibility:

• first : you haven't find good wire on CPM, chek againe please
• last: the wire come from PCM and end near S.W. , just when wires from CPM comme on board from engin space to driver space. Please check color of wire on PCM and check it on board when all wire are.

Le mien est arrivé dans mes mains samedi dernier, en kit prêt à monter, livré par l'administrateur du forum néerlandais, Leo, que certains d'entre vous ont apperçu à Spa avec Caecil, son épouse (RX8 rouge, plaques NL).
J'ai participé sur ce forum-là à un group buy, en provenance de JapanParts. Prix tout compris : 160 Eur.

Pour info, les contacts pour les connecteurs d'origines sont disponibles chez le dealer.

Merci pour l'infor sur les connecteurs. Le prix semble très correct si les connecteurs et le câble sont inclus (115 € les boutons H.T. mais port compris).

Les connecteurs ne sont pas indispensables mais souhaitables pour sauver la pièce d'origine "boutons audio"

As tu une référence pour ceux ci ???

Oui, le prix comprend les câbles avec contacts pré-sertis.

Je n'ai pas de références pour les contacts.

Mon anglais étant assez catastrophique, j'aimerais avoir quelques détails supplémentaires.

Si j'ai bien compris, entre le fil rouge et le fil vert, il y a 2 connecteurs de libre et il faut brancher un fil pour le PCM et un autre fil pour la masse.

Ce que je ne comprends pas, c'est qu'on peut utiliser n'importe lequel des 2 connecteurs pour brancher le PCM ou la masse.

But the PCM connector already has a wire connected (on RHD cars I am told)... so now I need to find where that leads...

but if you can knew the color it has (look on the PCM) and search it under the dash???

It is a RHD car, but the wire goes to the Left side!!!

There are many wires that colour behind there!...

Ce serait inhabituel. Mais dans la mesure où le système fonctionne avec des résistances en série, ce n'est pas impossible...
