1. Installation des différents logiciels sur votre PC
1.1 Installation du software "Pro Tuner"
To install the software onto your PC or Laptop, you need to click on the following link, and hit the install button. Note, you cannot “save as”, you must let it install for you, and it you must use IE6 or higher.
http://www.hymee.com/sCANalyserProTuner/publish.htm
Once it has installed from Hymee's server, it will start automatically. Everytime you start the software in the future (Start -> Programs -> Performance Design Australia -> sCANalyser Pro Tuner) it will check over the internet if a new version is available and if so allow you to update. If your not connected to the internet, it just uses the current installed version. It can be un-installed in the usual manner from Add/Remove Programs.
Now the software is installed. You need a couple of files to get going. The first is the PCM calibration, a “PTC” file (ProTuner Calibration). First, create a new folder under “My Documents” and name it “My Tuning Projects”. Save the PTC file(s) you received from Hymee or Raspoutine there. These files are the entire contents of the PCM “reflash” but they are stored in Hymee's encrypted proprietary format to keep secrets hidden.
The next type of file is the “metatadata” that describes all the tables in a tune-up. Actually, it describes all the tables in any tune-up for a particular PCM firmware version, no matter what the actual calibration tables have been set to. This is a “PCS” file (Protuner Calibration Specification), and is also in a special proprietary Hymee encrypted format. Create a new folder under “My Tuning Projects”, and call it “CalSpecs”. The software automatically looks in “My Documents\My Tuning Projects” and ..\CalSpecs for the files.
With sCANalyser ProTuner running, go “File -> Open Calibration” and select one of the PTC files. A prompt will be displayed confirming that the correct PCS file has been matched up. This is something that might be “hidden” down the track. The known 3D maps are displayed. The 3D chart is a dummy one until you click on one of the named maps in the list at the bottom left. Note how you can click on the 3D chart and spin it around.
A lot of the menu items are empty. The basic ones you need are covered here.
PCM Menu:
None of these currently do anything.
Map:
Fuelling (Empty)
Ignition (Empty)
3D Maps - Displays the 3D maps “defined” in the PCS file. You can edit the cells in the data grid.
2D Maps - Displays the 2D maps “defined” in the PCS file. You can edit the cells in the data grid (row!!)
Discreet Parameters - Displays some single value “constants” that I know about. You can edit the value for each one.
Options:
MAF Scaling (Empty)
Limits (Empty)
Show Unknowns: - If you check this, and then go back to 2D/3D maps, additional hidden maps with names starting with “Unknown” are shown. You can go through and try to find whatever you want!!!
Tools:
Calibration Specifications - This allows you to edit basic things in the PCS file. You version is limited to what it can change, although you can do quite a bit. My version allows me to do more J
If you have a PTC file open, it shows the 3D/2D charts and values as the sample data, but you can’t edit the cells, only the “metadata”, which is all the descriptions of the axis and the like.
This is where we put useful information that then shows up on the editing screens and charts.
Interface Manager This is where you go to plug in your Pro Tuner hardware (brick).
http://www.hymee.com/downloads/sCANalyserUSBDriver.zip
- Uninstall any previous EFIDude driver you may have installed. This will avoid complications down the track.
- Unzip the attachement to a folder of your choosing, such as c:\temp\brickdriver.
- Ensure the brick is not connected to the computer.
- Go to the folder where the unzipped files are, and double click on the “PreInstaller.exe” file.
- Plug the Brick into a free USB port.
- The brick will be recognized, initially as a Data Logger, then as a sCANalyser USB Device.
Please install this software – it works as the Interpreter for the logging stuff. Hymee is “OEM-ing” it, and you will need it for the token enabler until Hymee puts the equivalent functionality in SPT.

Plug the brick into the OBDII connector, and wait for it to flash a green LED. Then you turn the ignition ON. It will go Red (solid red) while it is flashing, then about 60 seconds later (note: ça a pris plus de temps que ça sur la mienne) it will go Green and you will hear the PCM reset itself (if it is quite). Then you turn the key OFF and pull the brick out, then start your engine.
If you change the brick back to a logger, you can then plug it back in and do logging.
