J'ai commandé sur amazon uk pour mon anniv les 2 derniers dvd de clarkson, ça devrait arriver aujourd'hui... (clarkson supercar et clarkson Thriller, sorti lundi!)

:idea: En février dernier, un ancien camionneur de 49 ans avait été condamné à la prison à vie pour le meurtre de cinq prostituées en 2006 dans la région d'Ispwich (est de l'Angleterre).

Une porte-parole de la BBC a immédiatement relativisé la plaisanterie du présentateur de Top Gear, dont le dernier épisode a été suivi par plus de sept millions de téléspectateurs.

"L'immense majorité des téléspectateurs de Top Gear savent à quoi s'attendre concernant l'image publique bien établie et fréquemment provocatrice de Jeremy Clarkson", a-t-elle expliqué. "Cette référence particulière a été utilisée de façon comique pour tourner en dérision un mythe injuste sur le monde des routiers, et ne visait pas à provoquer quiconque", selon elle.

Ce début de polémique intervient une semaine après le scandale retentissant qui a suivi un sketch téléphonique à l'humour douteux des animateurs Jonathan Ross et Russell Brand sur la BBC.

L'organisme de régulation des médias (Ofcom) avait reçu plus de 30.000 plaintes d'auditeurs. Ross a été suspendu pendant trois mois sans salaire et Brand a démissionné, de même que la directrice de la BBC Radio 2, Lesley Douglas.

So the second show of the new series has burst onto your screens and, compared to last week’s show, it hasn’t - fingers crossed - upset anyone. Unless lots of people have decided to complain that it was unusually about cars for once.

But what, you might be wondering, has happened to the Dodge Challenger that Hammond bought for the American road trip? Well, after its adventures on the salt flats it was taken to a garage for a reassuringly expensive health check and very thorough clean up, after which it was advertised for sale.

Unfortunately, it turns out that during a credit crunch people in America have suddenly realised that a bright orange two door muscle car isn’t top of their priority list and, whilst Richard paid a premium for it just a few months ago, Challenger values are now becoming distinctly mushy. Net result is no one has made an offer. Yet.

So, if you’re reading this in the US and you fancy a well specced, low mileage Challenger with TV stardom and (sort of) competition pedigree, you know where to look. Other than that, just tell us what you thought of the show. We’re listening, even if we can’t sell you a car…

En attendant le deuxieme episode de series 12 j'ai telecharger les 6 episodes de serie australien qui prend le meme format, sa ma amuser en attendant l'originale.

This week on Top Gear:

Richard celebrates the 40th birthday of the Ferrari Daytona by racing it along the Riviera against James in the most mental boat, and although it’s not designed to be one of our big significant races, I do believe it is just the frothy tonic you need for a Sunday night if you’re a) going to work on Monday, or b) eight years old.

Jeremy has a blitzer of a track test in the can with the Lexus IS-F against the BMW M3, and on top of that we find out what’s the best bus for London - Top Gear style - with some roll cages and Touring Car drivers.

Now a successful chef, he has put his money where his dreams are and has a garage full of Formula One cars, American classics and oddball delights - from hand-painted Harleys to bubble cars, fibre glass cross-country rough riders and a newly restored Mustang with all the trimmings.
Having the power hasn't been enough - he wants the glory too. So he sets his sights on the Mille Miglia. Taking part has always been a dream for James. He searches for the right car and the right co-driver, and the costs mount as the day of his dreams draws near. In Italy, the support crew, girlfriend Sally and his real pride and joy assemble. With lots of speculation flying around the interweb about the start date for our new series, The Mole can finally set the record straight. Sort of.

The official word from BBC schedulers is that we, er, can’t yet confirm exactly when the show will be back on air - something to do with potential last-minute changes and, inevitably, the snooker - but our production team are working to provisional schedule kicking off in late June.

Filming with Clarkson and the boys has so far been the stuff of top secrecy, but we can say it involves new challenges, a bunch of great power tests and travel to all corners of the globe. And Scotland.

So it’ll be one of two Sundays at the end of June then – and you won’t need to be mates with Columbo to work out which two dates to you need to be ready to set the video for.

The Car Show

Documentary which explores the ways that cars have been presented on television in the motoring programmes that have tapped into our collective subconscious.

It looks at the classic motoring magazine shows of the 1960s and 70s like Wheelbase, which showcased some of the world's latest innovations and spawned the next generation of programming such as the original Top Gear with Angela Rippon and Noel Edmonds.

The film investigates how more recent motoring programmes changed to accommodate society's view of the car. The new Top Gear and shows such as Panic Mechanics and Stars in Fast Cars reflect a shift away from the traditional car review show towards a more topical, aspirational and spectacular viewing experience.

It’s Back! The Waiting is Over! This Summer’s Blockbuster is Here! Be Afraid… etc etc. The reason I’m borrowing so many tired and tested one liners from your local multiplex foyer is quite simple: I’m trying to distract viewers from what the title of the actual film would be, were this new series an actual film. It would be Top Gear 13, which sounds like something with Dolph Lungdren in it, or bad hotel porn.

Using maths, I’ve calculated that the next series will be called Top Gear 14, and that’s even worse.

So I’ve come up with a genius plan; instead of going forwards, we’re going to make the next series a prequel. It’s working brilliantly for Star Trek, Batman and The Terminator, so why can’t we do the same?

I think viewers would be fascinated to know which Christmas it was when James’s mum gave him that pink striped jumper. They would love to see Jeremy shout “Powerrrrrrrrrrr!” during his driving test, and they would be equally rivetted to witness Richard staring at the pencil marks on the Height Chart in his bedroom and muttering “bollocks!”.

In the meantime though, you’re stuck with the well-known formula, which means that over the coming seven-week series run a race or two will occur, supercars will slide from the left of your telly screen to the right of your telly screen in a cloud of tyre smoke, and a man in a white coat bearing a gold envelope will trigger a series of comedic and juvenile adventures.

Please don’t worry about the familiarity though, because I, the most grumpy, pessimistic, glass-half-empty Producer in television, am really looking forward to this series.

Obviously back in March when we were gearing up to film, I was moaning about how we’d dried up, how people will see through us this time, one-trick pony blah blah, and then one night, I had an epiphany, which happened not in a pentecostal church but at the O2 Arena.

Basically Hammond, May and I went to see AC/DC, and there they were, nine thousand years old, still making your ears bleed with the same pulverising ferocity they managed three decades ago, and you think to yourself, it doesn’t matter if your pony has one trick as long as it does that trick really, really well, and more importantly, it really cares every time it performs that trick. And immodestly, I can say to you all, we still really, really care about what we do.

The fire we have inside about giving you good telly burns as fiercely as it did in 2002. So sit back and enjoy Top Gear 13, the same old shit.

The new series starts June 21. Until then, The Mole (whoever that is) will count down each day with exclusive behind-the-scenes preview blogs, so log on from tomorrow…

Less than two weeks to go until Top Gear’s back on your telly, so here’s the first of The Mole’s daily new series preview leaks.

You might have seen a couple of pictures from this film splattered across the press last week – Jeremy, Richard and James taking part in a classic car rally.

James MayThe producers stuffed a few quid in each of the boys’ pockets to pick up a suitably rubbish old nail at auction and sent them off to join a procession of genuine beardy enthusiasts.

The twist? The office chose their co-drivers too…

If you’ve seen the photos in the paper of Clarkson and May crashing that wedding in Scotland, then you’ve got a head start on this one.

Top Gear turns back the clock half a century to race the length of the country in suitably old school transport.

Jeremy – as you’ll have seen from those soot-faced confetti pictures – sets off in a steam train, leaving Richard and James to fight between classic car and vintage motorcycle.

That’s all we can tell you at the moment, but you won’t have to wait long to find out more – the producer has told The Mole this race will likely kick off the new series. Probably.

You’ll be familiar with the Top Gear’s tried and tested car-versus-something-that-isn’t-a-car race format. Jet man, greyhound, scally on BMX, climber, skier, that sort of thing.

But what about racing a letter? The postal sort, not the alphabetical sort. More specifically, can a car get from one end of the country to the other faster than a first-class letter?

That depends, obviously, on the car. You’ll need something fast, luxurious and, if you’re Richard Hammond, with a boot large enough to lock James May in if he got too boring during the journey.

Something like the Panamera Turbo, then – Porsche’s new luxury saloon with four doors, four seats and a price tag worryingly close to six figures.

You might have seen that Zoo, Nuts, Pint, Vest (or whatever those other blokey weekly mags are called) picked up on this one, but let’s just say they don’t have a clue just what an epic this race really is.

So that’s a 39p letter against a £100,000 Porsche. Who’s your money on?
